I bought this beautiful poster forever ago at Target for a clearance price of $6.98. I could never find a suitable frame for it - since it’s 3ft by 2ft, and I could never justify spending more then 10 bucks on a frame to hang up a thick piece of paper with a pretty image printed on it.

It’s been following me around forever, and my cat kinda chewed the corners of it (it was wrapped and mounted on cardboard, and she loves cardboard). It’s a little dog eared on the edges, and I almost just threw it away.

When I was moving recently I noticed that I have an abundance of frameless frames. I decided to cut up the poster and put it in the frames to make a pseudo-photo composite. Like the ones i do on flickr.

I woke up this morning, wandered into the kitchen to feed the cats and then “crruuuunch”. I stepped on something crunchy and sticky in the hallway. It was my FISH! Those silly cats last night killed my fish. Specifically Pepe (formally known as Chucky). He didn’t even give him the courtesy of killing and leaving alone. No - he MURDERED him, and then mangled the body.

I’m moving on up in the world. That’s for sure.

I’ve got a new amazing apartment, in a really nice quiet area. No Ambulances at all hours of the night, and that awful truck that went over speed bumps at 50 miles an hour (I swear pieces of his truck go flying every time). PLUS - I won’t have to play the ‘beat the hungry McDonald’s customers across Woodward’ game any more. That was always fun.

I know not too many people read this - but I just wanted to keep everyone up to date on what’s going on - and why i’ve been so scarce with my updates.

First: I’m in the process of doing a complete site re-design. Including some new features and fancy pants stuff, as well as re-coding the blog 100% myself, so that i don’t have a downloaded theme from so-and-so.

Here’s a screen capture of it. As you can see it’s got a completely different look and feel to it!!

I’m also working on updating my blog content a bit. I’m thinking more web-tutorial-download oriented rather then blah-blah-blah-cara-is-awesome. I’ll still have those posts - just not as frequent (hopefully)

Also—– (which would be SECOND) I’m MOVING!!! I decided to get a less expensive apartment on a different side of town, also a LOT quieter. Moving is consuming a lot of my time, packing is not my forte.

But seriously - Shingles (the ‘upgrade to chicken pox), is the total suck. I’ve been kind of incapacitated with them this past week. Sleeping more then I ever have, having no strength what so ever, and itchy as all hell!

Today was the deciding factor. I’m done driving. Three days in a row now I’ve had someone almost hit me, in the EXACT same spot, at the exact same intersection. Now - it’s my understanding that when making a double left and you are in the INSIDE lane, that when you have completed said double left - that you remain in the INSIDE lane. Am I correct?

I’m done vacationing. Talk about burning both ends of the candle. Last weekend was TC, this weekend was Grand Rapids to visit the A-team, and be once again privy to an A-team party. Jeremy Brown “like the crayon” was back in the good state of Michigan, of course I had to hop on over to visit with him! I missed that boy like crazy, I had forgotten that it has been over a year since our last encounter! Far to long for anyone!!

I’ve designed and finished my first ever Wordpress template. Jared wanted to start blogging for the Mirepoix cooking school at Holiday Market so he asked me to design a banner and change some colors around on a wordpress template. Well me being the most amazing girlfriend ever, I couldn’t just let my boyfriend date a web designer and just have a ‘banner’ so I made him one very mahogany design.

This past weekend was a mini-holiday for me! I went up to TC fri-sun and then came back down to RO for Monday. I spent most of the evening on Sunday with my Jared, and ALL day on Monday setting up my darkroom.

Which … is … DONE. Finally!!! I’ve been talking and talking and talking about getting it done, but it is finally done. I’m going to mix up some chemistry tonight and play around in the dark.

I have not been inspired AT all to post on my blog. I read other blogs and they have such pertinent information. I just don’t have the patience to post things like that.

I am, however, going to start making some kick-butt word-press layouts. I have a few Ideas in mind , but I can only have one layout at a time on my blog. I also want to get into making some Drupal themes. I’ll probably post them up here, whenever I get around to getting them done and finalized.
