Moving day 1.5 of 2

I’m moving on up in the world. That’s for sure.

I’ve got a new amazing apartment, in a really nice quiet area. No Ambulances at all hours of the night, and that awful truck that went over speed bumps at 50 miles an hour (I swear pieces of his truck go flying every time). PLUS - I won’t have to play the ‘beat the hungry McDonald’s customers across Woodward’ game any more. That was always fun.

Things are working our in my favor at work. I’m still there - which is saying a lot, because I’m the type of girl who gets bored with the same ole’ position after a year and needs something new. It’s always interesting because I think everyone has a different idea as to what i do - so really it’s just like re-defining my position every day! Ha-ha.

Have I mentioned how amazing my apartment is? Did you know that it has 13 power outlets. ALL of them are grounded. No more adapters for me!! It has carpet too, and huge closets (especially the one in the bedroom which i think could hold all the closets from my other apartment in them.) It has Laura Smith, who keeps her internet unlocked and wireless for me to use before I get Comcast out here. Thanks Laura!!! It’s a block away from a 7-11, which means that me and Mary Beth can now have unlimited amounts of slurpees at our disposal! Oh my favorite part: 100 dolla dolla bills cheaper! It’s a one bedroom so that’s why, but in reality it’s only a handful of sq. feet smaller. AND…… it’s on the first floor!! No more trying to juggle grocery bags up a flight of stairs.

Mom says it’s silly to move from a two bedroom apartment to a one bedroom but I say “Pish Posh!” This place is beyond 1,000 times better, so I see it as moving UP! Besides - the other one was kind of a “ina pinch” kinda deal.

Tomorrow is going to be a great day. I’ll be officially out of the old apartment, I’m going to Ryanne’s baby shower and, I’m getting a new kitty kat! Ryanne decided that her most needy cat needed a better home. Since she’s got a human tire around her waist she’s not able to give it the attention that an attention whore-cat needs. I should know - I have one. So I offered to take her kitty kat off her hands until she gets settled and comfortable with the new baby. Lord knows that a baby is stress enough, adding an animal to the mix would just complicate things. I’m very excited to have Chucky-the-cat over to play. Rotini will be thrilled to have a new friend to play with. How-ever. If Chucky is going to stay here he needs a proper name. I’ve named all my animals after food, so unless there is a new food called ‘chucky’ we’re just going to have to fix that.

I must say I’ve wasted enough time diking around on the internet, and scarfing down McDonalds. Please in the mean time visit my umbrella site cara-jo.net I’ve recently re-designed it, and would love to know what you think about it.
