This mobile app was created for participants and spectators of the 2011 Detroit Free Press / Talmer Bank Marathon. This app has features that include interactive course maps, live runner tracking, in app race registration, race weekend info, live tweeting and others.

It was originally set out to be a mobile web app that users would use in their phone’s web browser. After the discovery of Phonegap we decided the best way to get it to the users was through a natively run mobile app. It is now both Android and iPhone compatible and we used HTML5, CSS3, jQuery Mobile and Phonegap to create this experience. Download it today in the iPhone and Android app markets and check it out for yourself. There is a newly designed version coming out in mid-2012 to match the newly designed website.
